Squat and Gobble........A tribute to the great American Bird.  Inside the cabin you will find many accents of turkeys all around.  The big question is why??  Well this cabin is on Turkey Farm Road.  The United States Forest Service and the mountain area once had a true Turkey farm on this road.  Here they raised these lucky birds and the released them into the wild in order to maintain and increase th turkey population in the Blue Ridge Mountains. 

Being in this great location, the Squat and Gobble cabin is bordered by the United States National Forest, providing a close up encounter with nature and the privacy is second to none. Squat & Gobble decor is unique and comes from many generations of native heritage in the North Georgia Mountains, along with a tribute to many North American wildlife species, from Speckled Trout, Deer and Elk, but the turkey's take the cake!

Squat & Gobble is cozy and is in a great location off Aska Road and is only 8 minutes from the town of Blue Ridge, where you can find antique shopping, great eateries, sight seeing, a scenic railway and some good old fashioned friendly folks.  The Aska Road is also home to the Aska Adventure Area.  This is an area named this way due to all of the outdoor oppotunites.  On Aska Road you can find, hiking, biking, waterfalls, tubing on the Toccoa River, the Benton McKaye Trail (the largest spur of the Appalachian Trail), hunting, and fishing.  This beautiful area is also home to several Outdoor Adventure Race's. 

Squat & Gobble is also located within walking distance to Lake Blue Ridge, as well as the Toccoa River. A short drive from the cabin will put you at the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant, well known for its dishes that include fresh and local trout.  Also, a short drive is tubing from one of several different outfitters, and many other outdoor activities. This is a great place to come and relax, get away from it all, and take in all the beautiful scenery and nature that Blue Ridge has to offer.
