About the Rivers
  • The Toccoa: Flowing from the Chattahoochee National Forest the Toccoa River flows through Fannin County and into Lake Blue Ridge. Popular for canoeing and fishing in addition to rafting and tubing.
  • The Ocoee: The perfect place for fun and adventure, the Ocoee River was the site of the 1996 Olympic Whitewater competitions and are sure to offer a great time! There are Class I rapids all the way up to Class V rapids, all in the same adventure.
  • The Nantahala: Starting in western North Carolina and rambles through the Nantahala National Forest near Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Once in Georgia the river runs near the Appalachian Trail and empties into the Little Tennessee River at Fontana Lake. Other popular activities on the river include canoeing and kayaking in addition to commercial rafting.

Tubing, Bus shuttles run all day on operating days. We shuttle you up the river and you float back down to our tubing center where you left your car. Our 800 number only handles rafting reservations.

The Ocoee River with big, closely spaced rapids, makes it one of the most popular whitewater rivers in the nation. No other river in the East offers the degree of challenge, variety and consistent water flow that is found here in Ducktown, TN.

Raft one of the ten best whitewater rivers in the country as rated by Canoe Magazine. It has been chosen as the site of several national whitewater championships and was the home of the 1996 Olympic Whitewater competition. The Ocoee River is an easy day trip from Atlanta and a popular local attraction for Blue Ridge, GA, Chattanooga, TN and Hiawasee, GA.

In the spring and fall water is released into the river weekends and in the summer water runs five days per week, Thursday through Monday. The Ocoee River water is used by TVA to generate power when not released for whitewater fun.

Changing rooms with hot showers (fully renovated in 2013) are available before and after your whitewater rafting trip. Wildwater Willie`s Restaurant is at the Rafting Center and offers lunch and dinner in season.
