First of all, thank you so much for choosing Georgia Mountain Cabin Rentals in Blue Ridge, GA for your get away!  We truly appreciate your business and look to exceed your expectations during your stay.
 
In response to the ever-changing landscape due to COVID-19, we at Georgia Mountain Cabin Rentals strive to keep everyone informed with up to date COVID-19 information to help keep you healthy and safe.
 
All the information we have provided below is up to date as of today and contingent upon state and federally mandated orders.  We have also referenced the best practices from the Center for Disease Control Travel to help set our guidelines and travel policies.
 
COVID-19 TRAVEL:
To help you plan for your trip we have prepared this important updated document.  We will continue to update you through our social media channels, newsletters, email and here on our website.  Please check back frequently for the most up-to-date information.
 
Please read through all the information thoroughly so you can be prepared for your travel and adhere to our current policies.
 
Providing a safe and clean cabin for our guests is ALWAYS the top priority at Georgia Mountain Cabin Rentals.
 
 
HOUSEKEEPING:
We have implemented stringent cleaning procedures recommended by the CDC, to keep our guests, cabin owners and housekeeping staff safe. The virus that causes COVID-19 can be killed if you use the right products. At Georgia Mountain Cabin Rentals, we use the EPA product list of disinfectant products that can be used against COVID-19, including ready-to-use sprays, concentrates, and wipes. Each product has been shown to be effective against viruses that are harder to kill than viruses like the one that causes COVID-19.
 
GMCR has elevated and will continue to place an emphasis on our cleaning practices and policies. 
 
Here are some of the sanitation steps we follow between each visit:
All hard surfaces and high-touch areas are cleaned with a commercial disinfectant.  This includes all doorknobs and handles, toilets and faucets, light switches, handrails, remote controls, lockboxes, electronics, thermostats, game areas, furniture, kitchen appliances, cabinets and small electronics.
We professionally clean and sanitize all bathroom and bedroom linens in a commercial laundry facility.
We completely drain and sanitize our hot tubs with bromine.
 
CHECK-IN:
At GMCR, for your check-in, you can choose either curbside check-in or you are welcome to come into our office at this time.  We do ask that only one check-in family be in the office at once.
 
You can help slow the spread of the virus through social distancing and preventative hygiene, such as frequently washing your hands and wearing face coverings. Everyone has a role in making sure our communities are as safe as possible so local businesses can remain open.

Following CDC Guidelines & Recommendations:
To help protect you and our beloved community, we are actively following the CDC guidelines and recommendations on the steps that need to be taken to help prevent the spread of the virus.  We have shared specific instructions to our entire staff, cabin owners and housekeeping teams on how critical it is to continuously wash their hands and stay home if they feel sick or have traveled from an area identified as posing a risk.

WHAT SHOULD WE BRING WITH US?
We do provide a starter set for your stay that includes: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 roll of toilet paper, a trash bag, a laundry pod and a dishwasher pod. All bed linens and towels are provided.
 
We do recommend bringing extra toilet tissue, paper towels, soap and sanitizer for your hands.
 
MEDICATIONS
- if you have specific medications you take, bring more than enough for your stay.
 
FOOD
- our local stores are being restocked regularly, but the essentials do go quickly. We recommend you plan and bring as many meals as possible for your stay and plan to cook your meals.  While our local restaurants are open they do have limited hours based on staff shortages at this time.
 
BOOKS/BOARDGAMES/CARDS - while our cabins are stocked with these items, we recommend you bring additional items to ensure you have enough to enjoy your time with us.
 
WHAT IS THE CURRENT STATUS OF BLUE RIDGE SHOPS, RESTAURANTS AND ENTERTAINMENT?
Most local shops, restaurants and attractions are currently open but with limited hours due to STAFF SHORTAGES.  We suggest checking with the location prior to your arrival.  We also strongly recommend reservations for our restaurants prior to your arrival.
What is your policy for cancellations, rescheduling and refunds?
 
Reservations - We require a $250 down payment to hold a reservation for all properties.
Gift Certificates - may only be used at any property in inventory with Georgia Mountain Cabin Rentals.  Credit can be used on the balance to an extended stay or for a future visit.  Gift Certificates are transferable but are NOT redeemable for cash.
Cancellation Policy - All cancellations must be completed in writing via email, fax or Certified mail. Cancellations are not considered complete until the guest receives a confirmation from Georgia Mountain Cabin Rentals.
 
Terms of Cancellations: 
 Reservations canceled with less than 30 days notice are subject to a $100 cancellation fee.
 Reservations canceled with less than a 15 day notice forfeits the $250 deposit.
Reservations canceled within 10 days of check-in are subject to the entire rental amount.
e.      NO SHOWS ARE SUBJECT TO THE ENTIRE RENTAL FEES.  Cancellation policy applies to last-minute bookings as well.
f.      A Cancellation fee of $50.00 will be applied to all voluntary cancellations prior to arrival date that results in any kind of refund.
 

COVID-19 POLICY FOR CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING :
In the event there is a concern about traveling due to COVID-19, Georgia Mountain Cabin Rentals will accommodate those guests with a new reservation up to 365 days from the original arrival date.

Georgia Mountain Cabin Rentals will cancel and hold payment for up to 365 days from the original arrival date for all new reservations.  The new reservation date MUST be arriving on or before the original arrival date within the next year.
PLEASE NOTE:  Guests can 100% cancel their reservation and forfeit the down payment only if they are cancelling 31 days prior to the arrival date for COVID concerns.
COVID-19 NOTICE:
At Georgia Mountain Cabin Rentals, we have taken extensive enhanced health and safety measures.  An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.

Under Georgia Law, there is no liability for injury or death of an individual entering any of our rental properties or offices.  You are assuming this inherent risk and responsibility if such injury or death results from contracting COVID-19.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:
We offer guests the option to purchase travel insurance for every reservation.  Travel insurance can help with unforeseen circumstances and can reimburse you for costs due to a trip interruption.
