Southern Appalachian Artist Guild

The Mission of the Southern Appalachian Artists Guild (SAAG) is to promote the business and professional development of member artists while enhancing the cultural life of the community.

The Southern Appalachian Artist Guild has grown rapidly from 25 founding members in the summer of 2007 to over 160 members today.

The Guild helps members GROW by providing interesting and educational quarterly meetings, educational events targeted at professional development and participation with the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association in classes and workshops for beginning and developed artists.

Members stay in the KNOW through notice of regional show and festival opportunities and networking with members and other regional associations.

We help members SHOW by sponsoring shows open to members such as the Spring Renaissance Exhibit, the Off the Wall 3D Exhibit, the GAHA Exhibit, the Sautee-Nacoochee Exhibit, the Sharptop Exhibit, Appalachian Splendor, the Holiday Exhibit (which includes a miniatures component) and the National Juried Show. Plein Aire Events, artist demonstrations in the park, Arts on the Lawn, and business venues in Blue Ridge along with other activities help promote artists and the art in the region.
